SF Cinco de Mayo Events 2019
One of the largest party days of the year is almost here. If you’re ready for margaritas and party-style celebrations, there are plenty of events happening around the apartments for rent in Rincon Center. Here’s your guide to the best celebrations taking place in the area.

Lowrider Car Show
Cinco de Mayo in San Francisco means classic lowriders will sweep through the area. Models from the 40s to the 70s decked out with unique paint jobs and modifications will make their way to Lowrider Car Show at John O’Connel High School on Saturday, May 4th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
While you admire the beauty of these cars, enjoy a wide array of food and music from local DJs. When the event ends, participating cars line up and cruise down Mission Street for one last display. All proceeds support the high school.
Cinco De Mayo Fiesta
If you want a classic celebration, head over to the King Street Event Center on May 5th for an all-day event featuring food, dancing, and more. The party starts at 11 a.m. with plenty of lawn games and photobooths, lasting until 7 p.m.
Food options range from customizable street-style tacos to salsa and dip. Various types of tequila and cerveza are served throughout the day alongside some specialty drinks. Once the main event winds down, an after party featuring two music areas takes place.
Pub Crawl
Starting at Maye’s on Polk Street, this Cinco de Mayo-themed pub crawl winds though the streets of San Francisco from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 4th. On your way, you can catch the Warriors game as well as the Kentucky Derby. Bars included on the crawl are:

On Sunday the 5th, you can attend this ultimate day party by Sundaze from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Drink, eat, and dance the day away with plenty of DJs on 6th Street. Marcus Lee, Jose Melendez, and DJ Bitesize will play top 40 hits mashed up with hip hop. Make sure to reserve a ticket if you plan to attend.
Palm House
Palm House is hosting twelve hours of non-stop celebrating at their Union Street location on Sunday the 5th. Enjoy sizzling tacos, a bar out on the patio, and El Conquistador Punch Bowls filled with a full bottle of Cenote. Drink specials go on through the night, and the event is cover charge free with an RSVP.
Cinco de Mayo Cruise
For just $40 you can spend your Cinco de Mayo drinking margaritas and eating Mexican cuisine on a cruise ship. Hop on at Pier 40 on May 4th and party until 1:30 a.m. with various DJs. This popular event is always bound to be a wild time.
Hotel Fusion’s Celebration
Relax with Hotel Fusion as they celebrate Cinco de Mayo on the water of the San Francisco Bay. The event includes their first SailGP international sailboat racing event, which features six teams racing in five cities around the world.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy the races with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, an assortment of alcoholic drinks to choose from, and finger food snacks on the 65-foot Derek M. Baylis. Easy-listening music will fill the boat as you kick back and mingle. This event takes place on May 5th.
Shakedown Party Cruise
Head over to Pier 40 on the 4th for a cruise through the bay. Tickets include unlimited gourmet tacos and desserts, Latin music by DJ Scoots, and access to the cash bar. This is an excellent way to take in scenic views of the bay from the water. Make sure to wear your cocktail party attire and get ready to dance.
Margarita and Dancing
The Latin American Club on 22nd Street is hosting a night of margaritas and dancing on the 4th. The night starts off at the club, then heads to various dance venues in the Mission including Beauty Bar, Bissap Baobab, and Amnesia. What better way to celebrate than drinks and dancing?
Weirdo de Mayo
If you love festivals, then Weirdo de Mayo is right up your alley. Howard and Second Streets will be filled with colorful costumes, unique props, and live music. Enjoy delicious eats and drinks as you take in the weird sights and maybe even have a few weird experiences of your own as you mingle with a community centered around peace, creativity, and individuality.
This event features a number of vendors and visionary artists alongside stellar street performances. You can “get your weird on” May 5th starting at 12 p.m.
